Not Ready for Winter

Stacy woke up early that morning, she had planned to spend the weekend with her parents at the countryside. She lifted the blinds and frowned; it was clouded over. The weather forecast did say that it would cool down over the weekend, but no one said anything about rain. "Clouds don't mean anything," she thought to herself, "it will probably clear up later, the sky will brighten up and the weekend will be nice and sunny." Stacy got dressed and left the apartment, trying to think positive. But, as she stepped outside all the positive thoughts disappeared; they got blown away with a gust of strong, cold wind. It was freezing. She approached her car and saw that even her windshield had frozen over during the night. Stacy sighed, she was still not ready for winter. She texted her parents, saying that something had come up and went back to her warm bed.
